Using a Personal Knowledge Base on Desktop

Quint Project can be easily deployed and used on your desktop computer or laptop, providing seamless access to your personal notes as a full-featured PWA application.

Setup & Installation Steps

1. Preparation: Install and launch Docker on your machine.
2. Configuration: Create a docker-compose.yml file and copy the configuration snippet from our GitLab README.md.
3. Launch: Open your terminal in the same directory and run:

   docker compose up -d

4. Access: Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:8080.
5. Install PWA: You can install Quint Project as a native desktop application via your browser's app installation option.
6. Finalize Setup: Complete the initial onboarding step directly inside the app interface.

Now you can enjoy a full-featured desktop experience for your daily note-taking and knowledge management.
